ANALISIS HAMBATAN DALAM PENULISAN KARYA ILMIAH: STUDI PADA MAHASISWA PERGURUAN TINGGI

Abstract

Scientific writing is an important competency that students must possess to support academic achievement and scientific development. However, many students face various obstacles in the process of preparing scientific papers, which have the potential to reduce the quality and timeliness of completion. This study aims to analyze the factors that hinder scientific writing among university students. The method used was descriptive research with a qualitative approach, involving 50 students from various departments as research subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations, then analyzed thematically to identify the main obstacles. The results showed that the most common obstacles experienced by students included a lack of scientific writing skills, limited access to literature, poor time management, and low motivation. These findings emphasize the need for more effective academic mentoring strategies, writing training, and the provision of adequate resources for students. This study provides recommendations for universities to improve the quality of mentoring and systematically support students' scientific writing skills.
