INTEGRASI K3 DALAM KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM: MODEL PENGEMBANGAN DAN RELEVANSINYA BAGI SEKOLAH ISLAM

Abstract

Background: The educational transformation through the Merdeka Curriculum (KM), emphasizing Project-Based Learning (PBL) and student well-being, mandates Islamic Schools to seriously manage Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). A gap exists because OHS is not structurally integrated, despite its strong philosophical foundation in Maqashid Syariah (specifically Hifzhun Nafs preserving life). This study aims to formulate a conceptual model for effective OHS integration within the KM framework. Method: This study employed a qualitative approach with content analysis of OHS regulatory documents, the Merdeka Curriculum (PAI CP and P5), and theological literature (Maqashid Syariah). Data analysis was conducted inductively to identify needs, map integration spaces, and develop the conceptual model. Results: It was found that OHS is a vital pillar of Institutional Risk Management (IRM) in Islamic Schools. The proposed integration model is the Three-Pillar Model, which involves: 1) Philosophical Foundation (Hifzhun Nafs) for value justification; 2) Infiltrative Curricular Integration through PAI (for embedding ethics and values) and P5 (for developing practical OHS skills); and 3) Managerial Goal (Strengthening IRM). The model leverages P5's flexibility to instill safety competency in students. Conclusion and Implication: OHS integration in the Islamic Education Curriculum not only meets operational standards but also affirms religious identity. The Three-Pillar Model provides a structured framework for Islamic Schools to implement OHS sustainably, transforming OHS from mere compliance into an integral part of moral culture and risk mitigation strategy. The model is recommended for validation and effectiveness testing in future research.
