TINJAUAN KRIMINOLOGI TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN SENJATA TAJAM DALAM TINDAK PIDANA PENCURIAN DENGAN KEKERASAN (BEGAL) DIWILAYAH HUKUM POLRESTA JAYAPURA KOTA

Abstract

The results of the study show that the factors that influence the occurrence of robbery crimes using sharp weapons include: Economic factors, due to pressing economic pressures, namely having to meet family needs, buy clothing or food or there are relatives who are sick, then someone can act by committing the crime of theft. Environmental factors, one of the causes of robbery crimes can come from environmental factors themselves. Because of unhealthy relationships that tend to commit crimes such as robbery crimes. Educational factors, lack of educational knowledge is one of the factors in the occurrence of robbery crimes because of the lack of knowledge so that the perpetrators of robbery do not know what they are doing is wrong and can disturb the community. Drug and alcohol factors, robbery crimes often occur due to drug factors because the perpetrators will feel anxious and cannot think clearly when not consuming drugs, therefore the drug users carry out their actions to get the desired property so that from the proceeds of robbery crimes they can buy drugs. And the efforts made by the Jayapura city police to overcome the crime of mugging through two ways, namely: Preventive efforts carried out by the Jayapura city police in the form of patrol operations to regulate motor vehicle equipment, installing CCTV in areas prone to mugging, making kring serse, giving warnings to the community, and approaching local religious leaders so that what is socialized by the police can be implemented by the community. Repressive efforts are carried out if preventive efforts still involve violations of the law, therefore repressive efforts are intended to prosecute the perpetrators of crimes according to their actions and correct them again so that they are aware that the actions they commit are unlawful and detrimental to society, so they will not repeat them and others will not do it considering the sanctions they will bear are very heavy
