This study aims to analyze the application of criminal sanctions against perpetrators of child sexual abuse and the effectiveness of the law in providing protection for victims. The method used is normative juridical with an approach to legislation, literature, and court decisions. The results show that Law No. 35 of 2014 provides a strong legal basis with the threat of severe criminal penalties, including chemical castration, the announcement of the perpetrator's identity, and the installation of electronic detection devices. However, practice in the field still faces obstacles such as weak law enforcement, lack of understanding among officials, and minimal rehabilitation of victims. In conclusion, firm, consistent legal implementation is needed, along with comprehensive, humane protection for children.
