Peran Program KKN Dalam Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Kaum Perempuan Didesa Kemang, Kecamatan Lembak, Kabupaten Muara Enim

Abstract

The Regular Community Service Program (KKN) of Batch 84, Group 54 of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang in Kemang Village, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency is a form of community service that focuses on environmental empowerment and strengthening MSMEs based on social media. This program is motivated by the problem of plastic waste which is still a challenge and the need to increase the capacity of small business actors to be able to adapt to technological developments and digital payment systems. Activities carried out include making ecobricks as a solution for managing household plastic waste, training in making pineapple and tapai candy with PKK women to increase the added value of local agricultural products, assistance in making promotional banners to strengthen the identity of MSMEs, facilitating the creation of QRIS to support non-cash transactions, and assistance in issuing Business Identification Numbers (NIB) to improve business legality. In addition, students also made and installed educational waste signs containing information on the decomposition time of various types of waste to increase public awareness of the impact of environmental pollution. The results of the activity demonstrated increased community understanding of the importance of environmentally friendly waste management, enhanced skills among PKK women in processing marketable food products, and heightened awareness among MSMEs of the importance of business legality and digital payment systems. Overall, the program has had a positive impact on women's empowerment, local economic strengthening, and environmental sustainability in Kemang Village.
